KS town relents, says little library can stay – for now
While we’re honestly not surprised the city of Leawood finally let up, it is rather interesting that it took this long. Nine-year-old Spencer Collins took his case to the City Council, arguing against Leawood’s determination that his Little Free Library ran afoul of municipal code. After the PR nightmare reached a scale of national and international proportions, Leawood has finally decided to come to its senses. Read it.
Kansas Freedom Index strikes a nerve with some lawmakers
Apparently not every state lawmaker is terribly keen on the latest rankings from the Kansas Policy Index. Now in its third year, KPI’s Freedom Index ranks legislators according to how they voted on a range of bills according to their impact on economic freedom, limited government and other related principles. Of course, those who ranked highly are pleased to discuss the topic. But legislators on the other end of the spectrum? Not so much. Check it out.
Kansas SNAPs streak of rising food stamp errors
