TheBlaze, in conjuction with Watchdog.org, to air ‘Investigating John Doe’ tonight
By Watchdog.org
MADISON, Wis. – For nearly four years, the Democrat-led Milwaukee County District Attorney’s office has secretly investigated conservative organizations and individuals connected to Republican Gov. Scott Walker. The first so-called John Doe probe into Walker’s aides and associates when Walker was Milwaukee County executive ended with six convictions, four of them unrelated to the original scope of the investigation, and no charges of wronging against Walker.
SECRET WAR: Tune in for an investigation into the John Doe investigation tonight at 7 p.m.
Now, prosecutors are going after dozens of conservative organizations on allegations of illegal campaign coordination, conducting pre-dawn raids and dragging in scores of witnesses to testify. And the grand jury-like probe, overseen by a judge vested with great power of discretion, has been administered under a gag order – forcing those subjected to it to remain silent or face the prospect of contempt of court charges.
Tonight at 8 p.m. Eastern, TheBlaze’s “For the Record” presents, State Secrets: Investigating John Doe. The show draws from Watchdog.org’s 28-part investigation into the investigators, Wisconsin’s Secret War, and features Watchdog national reporter M.D. Kittle. The through report looks at the key players and the political consequences of what the Wall Street Journal has billed as Wisconsin’s Political Speech Raid.
