Senate Leadership Fund Starts Ad Campaign Hitting Heitkamp Over Vote Against Tax Reform
“Heidi Heitkamp made a huge mistake siding with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi to obstruct middle class tax cuts,” Steven Law, head of a Super PAC called the Senate Leadership Fund, said in a recent press release. “We will take it to Democrats over and over this year on tax reform and are confident it will be a winning issue for Republicans in November.”
The release was announcing an ad campaign paid for by the SLC targeting Heitkamp over her vote against tax reform.

If you’re wondering why Democrat allies such as the North Dakota Farmer’s Union have been circling the wagons around Senator Heitkamp after her vote against tax reform, this sort of an ad campaign is why.
That vote against the tax bill, particularly as North Dakotans begin to feel some of the positive ramifications from the legislation over the next year, is going to be a tough one for Heitkamp on the campaign trail.
