Podcast: Cramer Says Polling Lead Has Him Fighting “Complacency” in Campaign, NRA Says Kavanaugh Vote Drew Them to Oppose Heitkamp
On the radio show today, NRA spokeswoman Catherine Mortensen said it was Senator Heidi Heitkamp’s vote against appointing Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court which drew them to endorse in the North Dakota Senate race. “WE were kind of laying low in this race,” she told me, but when Heitkamp voted against Kavanaugh “that sealed her fate for us.”
“She’s a sell out,” Mortensen added.
Congressman Kevin Cramer also joined for his weekly open phones segment. He said his big lead in the polls, coupled with the backlash over Heitkamp’s Kavanaugh vote, actually has him a little worried. “We’re fighting a complacency issue right now,” he said.
