North Dakota Slippy Slide Event Canceled For Want Of A Hill

It has been a tough week in the news, so here’s a moment of levity brought to you by one of the flattest states in the union:

The massive popular water slide “Slide the City” will not be coming to Fargo. …

The event was scheduled to visit Fargo in August, but is being cancelled because planners can not find a location to hold the event.

“Its only because Fargo only has one adequate hill and that hill is the one on Broadway downtown but its only 300 feet long,” says Slide the City Event Director, Scott Ward.

As someone on Facebook said, “The Red River Valley of the North isn’t flat, but it will do until flat comes along.”
