New Cramer Ad Features President Trump Riding Herd on Senator Heidi Heitkamp
On social media, North Dakota Democrats are still promoting their U.S. Senate candidate Heidi Heitkamp as a close ally of President Donald Trump:

But in a new ad Congressman Kevin Cramer’s campaign uses footage of President Donald Trump from his recent rally in Fargo as a rebuttal to that increasingly absurd narrative.
North Dakotans “need a Senator that doesn’t just talk like they’re from North Dakota but votes like they’re from North Dakota, and that is Kevin Cramer,” Trump is quoted as saying in the ad.
The ad also says Heitkamp voted in favor of sanctuary cities and against tax cuts:
“President Trump’s visit was a stark reminder that Heidi Heitkamp has spent her time in Washington voting against North Dakotans on the issues that matter most,” Cramer Campaign Communications Director Tim Rasmussen said in a press release announcing the ad. “While Kevin has been busy delivering the change North Dakotans voted for when they supported President Trump, Heidi Heitkamp has been fighting tooth and nail to block the Trump agenda from being implemented and her obstruction will only get worse if she’s reelected.”
I’ll admit to being baffled as to why Democrats want to pick a fight with Cramer and Republicans over who President Trump likes more, the Republican candidate in this race or the Democrat.
By the way, Trump World will be promoting Cramer’s candidacy yet again later this month when Vice President Mike Pence visits Grand Forks.
