Keeping government bureacracy in check no easy task

On Wednesday morning I testified against a seemingly small and innocuous rule change that has been proposed by the Washington Department of Employment Security.

Erin Shannon from the Washington Policy Center wrote an excellent explanation of the rule change here. Employment Security is seeking to have the last say if it doesn’t like a contrary decision rendered by the Office of Administrative Hearings.

The proposed rule change is analogous to giving a judge another say in a case if an appellate judge overturns his original ruling.
