Homeland Security Delayed Arrest Of Democrat Senator’s Staffer Until After Election

Senator Bob Menendez, who was involved in a sex scandal which broke just before election day, finds himself in more hot water:

U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez employed as an unpaid intern in his Senate office an illegal immigrant who was a registered sex offender, now under arrest by immigration authorities, The Associated Press has learned.

That’s really, really bad. But it’s not the worst part. Apparently, the Department of Homeland Security ordered a delay in the arrest until after election day:

The Homeland Security Department instructed federal agents not to arrest him until after Election Day, a U.S. official involved in the case told the AP.

Homeland Security is under the direction of Janet Napolitano who, in turn, was appointed by and serves at the pleasure of President Barack Obama.

So, who ordered the cover up which allowed Menendez to be elected to another six year term, giving him plenty of time to wait out the resulting scandal?
