Democrat Domina: ‘I know how unpopular the President is. I get it.’
Joe Jordan | Nebraska Watchdog
Democratic Senate hopeful Dave Domina is keeping his distance from President Obama.
During a campaign stop in South Omaha on Tuesday, Domina told a roomful of supporters, “I know how unpopular the President is. I get it.”
He also told Nebraska Watchdog’s Joe Jordan (see exclusive video above) that if Mr. Obama wanted to campaign for him here, Domina would ask him not to.
Still Domina is convinced he can win, something no Nebraska Democrat running for the Senate has done since Ben Nelson’s re-election in 2006.
Domina is in day two of his six-day statewide kick-off. He’s scheduled to stop in 28 cities and towns from Lincoln and Omaha to Scottsbluff and Ogallala.
