Brian Kroshus: Why I Am Running For State Auditor

0

I am seeking the North Dakota Republican Party endorsement for North Dakota State Auditor. My reason for running for public office is simply that I have a deep and sincere desire to help preserve the principles that make North Dakota an incredible place to call home. Like many North Dakotans, I believe in conservative values and the need to apply those principles to how government works.

My strong work ethic, extensive private-sector business background, fiscally responsible approach and proven leadership skills position me well to be North Dakota’s next state auditor. I will help ensure that our state is fiscally responsible and, in effect, good stewards of public funds in a variety of economic conditions. As state auditor, I will work closely with state agencies to ensure accuracy and compliance, while assisting them in achieving operational excellence.

Effective management of our state, both now and in the future, requires strong, proven leaders. Over the past three decades in the private sector I have compiled a proven record of effectively leading large, multi-million dollar organizations, analyzing and interpreting complicated data on a daily basis, and producing superior results. During the course of my career, I have effectively managed expense and revenue funds collectively in excess of a billion dollars. I have led successful organizations by recognizing opportunities to be more efficient, not only in times of economic prosperity but more importantly, during more challenging periods.

Born in Fargo, I am a proud native North Dakotan. After high school, I attended and graduated from North Dakota State University. I’m extremely proud to be part of a three-generation “Bison” family. I’m equally proud to have a daughter and son-in-law who attended and graduated from the University of North Dakota.

I look forward to working effectively with state leaders and agencies and taking the office of state auditor to the next level. And, if elected, I will do my part to preserve those key, underlying conservative principles that have and continue to make North Dakota one of the most successful states in the nation.
