Anti-vax North Dakota lawmaker, an organizer of today’s We The People rally, comes down with COVID-19
MINOT, N.D. — Rep. Jeff Hoverson is a Republican from Minot who is deeply involved in the anti-vaccination and anti-masking movement in North Dakota.
During the regular legislative session earlier this year, the only bill Hoverson introduced that passed was a ban on statewide mask mandates. For the special session that begins this week, Hoverson has introduced a bill making it illegal for pharmacists to refuse a prescription for off-label use of ivermectin.
Hoverson was also a key organizer of the We The People rally in Bismarck today intended, in part, to promote a raft of anti-vaccination and other COVID-19 related bills introduced by Hoverson and other members of the Trump-aligned Bastiat Caucus of state lawmakers and activists.
But according to a post on Facebook, Hoverson is quarantining after coming down with COVID-19 himself.
“Thank you, brave soul, for getting me Ivermectin, which now with covid, I am able to stay out of the hospital,” Hoverson wrote in a Sunday, November 7, post. “Covid is real and like a really bad flu. I am currently quarantining and each day is getting better.”
