North Dakota Democrats Get Third Statewide Candidate: Kiara Kraus-Parr For AG
Candidate recruitment for legislative races is looking pretty slim for Democrats, and now that we’re in March it seems unlikely that Democrats are going to get a serious challenger for Rep. Kevin Cramer (despite bold talk about candidate recruitment on that front not so long ago), but they got their third statewide candidate today.
Grand Forks attorney Kiara Kraus-Parr will seek the Democrat endorsement for Attorney General at their statewide convention later this month. It looks like Kraus-Parr has her own firm in Grand Forks, and was admitted to the bar in 2010.
In 2010, Stenehjem was challenged by Democrat Jeanette Boechler and won with nearly 75 percent of the vote. So Kraus-Parr has her work cut out for her, to put it lightly.
Here’s her press release:

Kiara Kraus-Parr will officially kick off her campaign for Attorney General tomorrow, March 4, with stops in Grand Forks and Fargo.
