Fremont’s do-over on illegal immigration drawing voters

If early voting is any indication turnout for Tuesday’s special election in Fremont appears ready to surpass that city’s previous fight over illegal immigration.
So far over 640 early ballots have been cast, compared to 476 four years ago, a 35 percent increase.
On the line is a 2010 city rule prohibiting landlords from renting to those in the country illegally.
