Video: President Obama Says North Dakota Pro-Life Legislation "Turns Back The Clock"
“In North Dakota they just passed a law outlawing your right to choose as early as six weeks even if a woman’s raped,” said President Obama today while addressing abortion industry giant Planned Parenthood. He’s referring to the law, signed by Governor Jack Dalrymple, which outlaws abortions if a heartbeat is detected.
“A woman may not even know that she’s pregnant at six weeks,” he said.
It’s interesting that President Obama didn’t call the bill as it has become to be known, the “heart beat bill.” I suspect that’s because it’s a much easier sell to use words like “choice” and “contraception” while ignoring the reality of a living human being with a heart beat in the mother’s womb.
But that’s what the pro-abortion argument is. A slippery, flexible, politically-driven definition of when life begins. It’s not based on science or reason, but on the expediency of those who don’t want responsibility for the children they create.
