New Gun Sales Under Obama Up 94% Compared To Gun Sales Under Bush
President Obama has been very, very good for gun sales. As measured by the the NICS background checks required for new gun sales, the number of gun purchases has nearly doubled under President Obama as compared to sales under President Bush.
What will be interesting is to see if this massive spike will result in more violent crime. That’s the bedrock principle of the gun control movement. More guns means more crime.
But what if we go through a multi-year period of unprecedented levels of gun sales only to find that violent crime statistics remain unchanged? Or decrease?
