Port: PAC forced to disclose tens of thousands in expenditures in amended report
MINOT, N.D. — An independent political action committee that received money from a raffle that was supposedly in support of the Republican party has, after my recent story, been forced to file an amended year-end report detailing tens of thousands of expenditures that weren’t previously reported.
A 2022 raffle, purportedly aimed at raising funds for the NDGOP’s Minot-area district committees, instead funneled money to the Dakota Patriot PAC, an independent committee not under the control of state party officials. The PAC reported $142,578.38 in revenues in 2022, but reported no expenditures in its year-end report.
