Port: Anti-pot group, which said they planned to raise $200k, hasn’t reported any donations yet
MINOT, N.D. — About two weeks ago a group calling itself Healthy and Productive North Dakota organized to oppose Measure 2, which if passed would legalize access to marijuana for recreational purposes.
At the time, the group told the Associated Press that they planned to raise as much as $200,000 for their campaign. They even said they already had their first donations.
“The group had raised just $750 as of Thursday, from Niforatos’ contribution as executive vice president of Smart Approaches to Marijuana, a Virginia-based political organization against marijuana legalization,” the Associated Press reported on Oct. 6 .
That was two weeks ago.
