Plain Talk: Senator Cramer Says Impeachment Is Denying American Voters Their Power
“The president’s misconduct cannot be decided at the ballot box,” Rep. Adam Schiff, one of the members of the U.S. House chosen to present the Democrats’ case for impeachment in the U.S. Senate, said this week. “For we cannot be assured that the vote will be fairly won.”
I asked Senator Kevin Cramer to respond to that remark on this episode of Plain Talk. “The power belongs to the people,” Cramer said. “It’s being denied them in this instance.”
Cramer says impeachment should be left for high-level crimes, not disagreement over how an elected official comports themselves in office.
Cramer also applauded the recent and continued rollback of Obama-era water rules, something he says is a big if often overlooked issue for rural America, and he talked about his 2020 goals.
