Why Were We So Scared to Have a Debate Over Refugee Resettlement?
It’s almost as though the Trump administration, by giving locals a degree of autonomy when it comes to resettlement, has revealed that resettlement isn’t nearly as controversial as we may think.
That seems like a pretty good outcome, doesn’t it? Granted, some continue to oppose resettlement quite vocally, but since not one state or local government in the country so far has used the veto President Trump gave them, I think we can conclude that their viewpoint is not the majority viewpoint.
That’s something we know now. Thanks to President Donald Trump.
