Podcast: Gary Emineth Talks About Initiated Measure to Ban Non-Citizen Voting in State Constitution
On the radio show today Gary Emineth – former NDGOP chairman, former U.S. Senate candidate, and current state Senate candidate in Bismarck – joined me on air today to chat about an initiated measure he’s backing to ban non-citizen voting in North Dakota.
Isn’t it already illegal for non-citizens to vote in North Dakota? Emineth said yes, but that the state constitution needs to be amended to remove ambiguity.
Wesley Fricks, a government affairs spokesman for TigerSwan, also spoke about his company’s fight with a state licensing board. The North Dakota Private Investigation and Security Board claims TigerSwan did unlicensed work in the state during the Dakota Access Pipeline Protests. Fricks tells me they didn’t, and that they’d like to get things settled with the board.
