UND Warns Campus Community About Unarmed ROTC Members Playing Capture The Flag

After University of North Dakota professor Heidi Czerwiec had a meltdown after seeing some ROTC students on campus – she left a profanity-laced voicemail for the ROTC commander and threatened in a letter to the editor to call 911 every time she saw ROTC students – the campus administration decided they would alerting the campus community to ROTC exercises.
Including direct, personal messages to Czerwiec herself.
“The University will now send a campus notification before each exercise, and we will also notify the faculty member each time there will be exercise,” UND spokesman Peter Johnson told me last month.

I’m not kidding:
I don’t blame the university for enhancing their notice of ROTC drills. The students practice with dummy weapons, but it’s easy to understand how fakes could be misconstrued at a glance with the real deal, leaving some people scared.
But capture the flag? Jeez.
Maybe a better strategy for UND would be to hire professors who function as adults.
