Ad watch: ‘No such commercial’ hits Ashford as soft on crime

Remember this from Friday:

Nebraska Watchdog: Congressman are we going to see an ad with Nikko Jenkins’ picture and Brad Ashford’s picture side by side from your campaign or from those supporting you?

Well, Democrat Ashford isn’t “side by side” with convicted murderer Nikko Jenkins. But just a few days after all but tying Ashford to Jenkins’ post-prison murder spree Terry has a TV ad (see commercial below) accusing Ashford of being soft on crime.

“Ashford supports the “good time” law letting violent criminals out way too early,” says the announcer.

Team Ashford is charging Terry with desperate lies.

It remains to be seen if Ashford counters with an ad of his own.
