U.S. Attorney Tim Purdon says Eric Holder's visit will be first to Bismarck by a sitting attorney general since Robert F. Kennedy in 1963.

Not sure the purpose of the visit as yet. How much do you want to bet that Holder makes a stink about crime in the oil patch? It seems the Obama administration is on an anti-fossil fuel kick of late, and maybe this is part of the strategy.
In related news, it’s been rumored that President Barack Obama will be visiting a North Dakota Indian reservation later this summer, though that hasn’t been officially confirmed yet.
Update: Holder’s event isn’t open to the public:
Holder will speak at @UnitedTribesND in Bismarck at 2 p.m. Thursday, but it's open only to press and conference attendees. No public access.
