John McCain has credibility in a few areas, one of them being anti-pork.  He has the distinction of not accepting pork for his home state. However, if this pork-laden “bailout” scheme succeeds with his name on it, the campaign ads will flow freely, using it to obliterate any “anti-pork” credibility he has accrued in the past 20 years.

I can’t give the Democrats credit for crafting this; they’re just not that smart.  But you can bet they’ll capitalize on it as soon as the opportunity presents itself.
