surrounding areas are presently waging their fight..with high water. We are all praying for them..

On a note closer to home.
I feel bad for my friend Vic Pellerano and his family. Many of you, don’t know him or care, will probally skip reading this… But, he has a good heart and would share his last drop of water with you,if he had to.
I noticed my friend, Vic Pellerano has cancelled some of his shows. Of course, not many people know that or even care, because his shows are rarely in the papers, again poor PR agent, he’s not in the know or maybe not in the Fargo music click,I don’t know why, maybe he likes it that way. Anyway…. I know because, I like his
music and check his website out once and awhile.
I guess, we are a small select group of forunate people that enjoy his talent.
I e-mailed him and asked what’s going on. It took a while, he finaly got back to me. Vic said, his basement got 5 feet of water in it and his phone went out at 39feet.. He lives along the Red, somewhere north of Fargo.
His Studio was in the basement, He managed to get all of his equipment out, but,it’s all over the place. so, it will be a while to get back in to the swing of things. He said, he will write a song,(I imagine most every artist will)and place it on you tube, but when -who knows. He sounded depressed(it’s no wonder) - one show that’s still going on is the Green Expo on the 25th, at the SW youth Arena. there should be some coverage on it soon.
So, while Vic was fighting the river, his songwriting abilities were in play only in his mind. He also told me, that is how he deals with stress in his life is through his music, that is his outlet. He feels sort of behind the eight ball, not expressing himself about the Flood. while others have.
Vic mentioned he e-mailed “The FLAG” hoping they will have a thank you gig set up somewhere, like the dome, so the local artist can give thanks and express themselves. He has not heard back yet.
He’s afraid since he’s not in the know, he will be overlooked. I told him, just be yourself, it’s their loss.
Well,I wish Vic the best and I am waiting to hear his Flood song. Vic Pellerano has showed that he has the talent to overcome his setbacks. You only have to listen to the lyrics to the song “Rest Your Tired Wings Upon Me”. He always ends his shows with that one.
Vic said, he wrote the song during Katrina, trying express how we all need to lean on someone at one time in our lives and how,we are all Heroes at one time or another, some noticed and others may never be. It is a beautiful song.
If it was me, that is the song, I would use for the Flood Song, the words fit the situation prefectly. It will bring tears to your eyes.
Well, enough of me, blowing Vic Pellerano’s horn.
I only wish others could enjoy his music, like I do.. He is a talented guy that has not been discovered yet. Maybe, it’s not in the cards for him. Some people, are not missed till their gone.
