I guess the altitude of my sarcasm was a little too high. After having read “The Moment of Truth for Iraq” and having read many of Yons dispatches over the years I don’t credit those reporters with much more than taking a job that offered a “danger pay bonus” for hanging out in the green zone while they paid stringers to go out to do the job they were paid to do in the first place. Maybe it’s just me, but when you’re paid to a job there’s an expectation attached to it that you will do it. In the case of reporters, maybe I expect too much, but I expect first hand accounts. I guess I ask for too much.
