This is a ‘thought crime,’ wherein others determine the motives and thoughts of this man. As free people, doesn’t the First Amendment allow every citizen, even members of the KKK, to openly read hate literature and even exercise the right to verbally promote hatred of people of color as long as they do not incite violence or openly encourage breaking the law? Or, as we are seeing more and more in this country, does the First Amendment only protect people exercising politically correct speech and conduct, which is code for liberal correctness?

I am very deeply concerned that the First Amendment is meaningless in liberal America.

Two things: This is really about “feelings”, and nothing more, not even the facts of the matter, that this book was anti-KKK and celebrated a victory over that group.  Secondly, the First Amendment is about protecting uncomfortable or objectionable speech.  You are right to be worried.

Scariest Item:  The “Affirmative Action Officer” never looked at the book or spoke to Todd Tucker.

Gives ‘Blind Justice’ a whole new meaning.

This is old news.  Wasn’t this already discussed here at SAB?

Dunno.  Does it matter?

You see, “charged” means that it has gone past the investigative stage. If it helps you, think of this as an update.
