From Organizing For America website:
THE DETAILS
2 PHONE CALLS ON 9/11 - Illinois! (Health Care Organizing Event)
STAY HOME FOR THIS EVENT! DO NOT GO ANYWHERE!
Stay HOME:
—-* The Event consists of ALL OF US Making Two Phone Calls on one particular, single day.
—-* We call each of our State Senators (phone numbers are below) on that day.

What day? Our US Senators return to DC the Tues after Labor Day. That next FRIDAY, Sep 11, is Patriot Day, designated in memory of the nearly three thousand who died in the 9/11 attacks.

All 50 States are coordinating in this – as we fight back against our own Right-Wing Domestic Terrorists who are subverting the American Democratic Process, whipped to a frenzy by their Fox Propaganda Network ceaselessly re-seizing power for their treacherous leaders.

DO YOU WANT to ensure passage of the Public Plan? Since 75% of Americans support it, I guess it’s time for us Seventy-Five Percenters to be heard. Why Public Plan? = Because It’s American To Take Care Of Our Own!

And, according to a White House Advisor to the President with whom I spoke ten days ago at a DNC Panel, he said, “ON ONE DAY you ‘burn-up’ the Senate Switchboards - THE NEXT DAY you’ve got the Senator’s attention”. We will achieve that effect, on Friday, Patriot Day 9/11.

Auto-generated emails will remind you about our Armchair Public Plan Slam-Dunk Two-Phone-Call Call-A-Thon. Plus I will email you that day, too. And, if you’re proud you joined-in, then email me (the Host) back, when you’ve made your calls. I will be honored to report our massive numbers to OFA for them to brag on the web.

2 PHONE CALLS ON 9/11 – BE A TRUE PATRIOT –

DEFEAT ANTI-DEMOCRATIC FORCES OF HATE WHO CONSPIRE TO REMAIN HEALTHY + WEALTHY WHILE THE PUBLIC LANGUISHES UNDER THE BURDEN OF OUR PRESENT HEALTH CARE SYSTEM –

—-* TELL THEM: “I’m calling from the city of [xxx] – and I AM mad as Hell – and I AM NOT going to take it anymore, If You Don’t Mind!”...
—-* TELL THEM: “Please make the Public Plan the Law of the Land –
—-* TELL THEM: “Because IT’S AMERICAN TO TAKE CARE OF OUR OWN.”
—-* TELL THEM: “Tell that to my Senator – Thank you, Good-bye.”

That’s it – simple – all you need is a calendar, an armchair and a phone, for us to have a good strong voice.

Ask your friends if they want to join our Public Plan Call-A-Thon on 9/11: Patriot’s Day –

———————————-
Get that. Every protester against health care reform is a right-wing terrorist.

I cannot wait for 2010 to vote these fuck-nozzles out of office. All of them.

June 22, 2009

PHOENIX, Arizona (June 22, 2009) — The Arizona Legislature today passed a bill that refers the Health Care Freedom Act (H.C.R. 2014) to the November 2010 ballot.

The Health Care Freedom Act will ensure Arizona residents may pay directly for any legal health services and choose not to participate in a government or privately run health care system.

“Protecting the rights of individuals to be in control of their health and health care must be a fundamental component of health care reform, so the Arizona legislature is to be congratulated for giving all Arizonans the opportunity to make certain our voices are heard,” said Dr. Eric Novack, Chairman, Arizonans for Health Care Freedom.

The bill, sponsored by Rep. Nancy Barto, will be placed on the ballot as a referendum.

The Healthcare Freedom Bill provides for two fundamental rights:

1. The right to spend your own money to seek out and receive health care services that are otherwise legal.
2. The right to choose NOT to participate in any health care system, of any type.

The basic aim is straightforward: while nearly everyone agrees that some changes are necessary in our health care system in the United States, supporters of the bill believe very strongly that the rights of individuals to make their own health care decisions must be protected. In other words, individual freedom should be the starting point from which health care reform should be considered.

“Representative Barto, Chairman of the House Health and Human Service Committee and Senator Allen, Chairman of the Senate Health and Medical Liability Reform Committee along with Senate President Bob Burns and Speaker Kirk Adams are all champions of freedom,” Novack said. “Their long-term vision may save us untold grief with the uncertainty of what the federal government might soon do regarding the healthcare system in the United States.”

The Health Care Freedom Act incorporates some of the same principles as Proposition 101 in the November 2008 election, the Freedom of Choice in Healthcare Act, which lost by less than 9,000 votes. However, the Health Care Freedom Act is designed to provide additional clarification and address issues raised during the campaign and the legislative process.

Specifically, the Health Care Freedom Act contains more concise language, developed with significant input from many stakeholders, including AHCCCS, to protect our state’s safety net health care system, workers’ compensation rights, and Medicare beneficiaries.

Dr. Novack went on to the state that the people of Arizona have been well served in this area because rarely does a state legislature have the opportunity to get ahead of an oncoming tidal wave.
“Since we do not know, but have many hints, as to what may be legislated by the federal government, HCR 2014 is the most significant thing any legislature could do to protect the rights of the individual regarding personal choices in their health care decisions,” Novack said. “We are confident that the people of Arizona will vote to ensure their own rights and support the Health Care Freedom Act.”

Dr. Novack will testify, Tuesday, June 23, 2009 in the U.S. House of Representatives, Energy and Commerce subcommittee on health.

Our Posturer-in-Chief has no grasp on the reality of radical Islam’s goals. He apparently believes that Hamas and Al Qaeda and the growing number of contagious madrassas are merely a miniscule fraction of the whole of Islam, a tiny cadre of loosely associated extremists. Rather than confront the demented idealogues who would bomb us, or shoot us, or behead us, and defend ourselves against the hatred, the violence, the destruction they plant and nurture, he prefers to handle them as minor irritants guilty only of misdemeanor annoyances against reactionary American hotheads who deserve the annihilation they preach.

He seems locked into the idea that if the burr under their saddle were removed, they would all return to their traditional existences as nomadic traders trekking the trackless sands of East Africa and West Asia carrying exotic spices, hand-woven carpets, goat cheese, and dates across borders in exchange for out-of-date rifles, watches, trinkets, and beads.

Toward that perception’s becoming real, he is perfectly willing to kick Israel to the curb (along with his maternal grandmother and that pesky Constitution thingy) and allow thugs and lunatics to spew their vile rancor and malevolence into the waters the next generation will have to drink from.

He just doesn’t get it. For some reason he is unable to comprehend that although a great majority of the world’s Muslims aren’t particularly interested in blowing up things or murdering Jews or destroying the Great Satan, they’re not much inclined to stop those who do. In fact, the nearly one billion who would call themselves “moderate” will quicker align themselves with fellow worshippers of Allah and Muhammad than with the corrupt and sinful Westerners who mostly follow no god at all.

The whole idea of Islam, in fact the word itself, means “obedience.” It is a global imperative, and the duty of every true Muslim is to offer Islam to the infidel and then slay him if he rejects it. Jews, Copts, Catholics, Baptists, Buddhists, Hindus, and everybody else are potential enemies, threats to the goal of total submission, obstacles to the establishment of a world order based on the Qur’an and Shari’a law.

In that aspect, Muslims are raised very much like hive insects, trained from infancy to blindly obey the rules of the queen. They learn to read by memorizing the Qur’an, and all that they experience in their formative years is filtered and shaped by some bitter cleric’s interpretation of carefully selected surahs.

In an anthill, for example, all is driven by hormones issued by the queen. If she sprays a hormone on a worker which identifies it as dead, the other workers will pick it up and throw it on the dead-ant pile, whether it’s actually dead or not. If it gets up and walks away, not being dead after all, they’ll simply grab it and throw it on the dead-ant pile again. It’s a chemical imperative which overrides any and all other impulses in their tiny little ant brains.

The same happens with Muslims. If the local imam, or the regional mullah, or an important ayatollah declares a fatwah, no alternatives exist: the fatwah must be followed. It’s the same mentality as the hajj: each Muslim MUST, if he is physically able, go to Mecca and mill around in a trance, circling the Qa’aba and muttering memorized excerpts from a long-dead drug addict’s hallucinatory garblings.

The book declares that the god of Muhammad gave Islam to mankind as the final edition of the true path, that it is for all mankind for all time, and all other options are negated and void. Muslims can no more deny or disobey that edict than a bee can refuse to bring nectar back to the hive for the good of all.

The ultimate end will justify all means employed in its achievement in the Muslim mind. Beheadings, revolutions, combat, atomic weapons, economic warfare, lying, stealing, cheating . . . all is fair in establishing the global caliphate. Negotiating, bargaining, compromising, cooperating . . . all are useful for short-term gains, but completely expendable in the long term. Deals made can be broken in the name of Islam; compromises can be reversed; bargains recalled; and negotiations terminated. Stalling for time through semantics or overt lies while upgrading yellowcake to weapons grade material is good in Allah’s sight so long as the end product is used to smite the enemies of Islam.

Our Kumbayatic Apologist-in-Chief could see that only if his speechwriter scrolled it up his teleprompter. The concept is too simple, too clear, too real to get past the paranoid filters and Chicago mentality of his I’m-too-cool-to-fail mindset.

He cannot hear the laughter of the Kims, the Ahmadinejads, the Assads, the Sauds over the siren call of his legacy lullaby. He cannot see the danger of Islam’s insect mentality, lost in the ripples of his Narcissus pool. He cannot understand that world leadership and political campaigning are not interchangeable synonyms, and that speechmaking and socialism do not produce strength and wealth.

The Great New World Experiment is about to collapse into rubble because the democratic process has finally selected a government which cannot see the jungle for the ferns; which fails to understand that Islam wants only conquest, not cooperation; which believes that the people exist to serve it, not the other way around.

Iranians charge Saberi with espionage
posted at 10:11 am on April 8, 2009 by Ed Morrissey

Apparently, all that talk about friendship and Nowruz greetings hasn’t helped. Early last month, I wrote about the suspicious disappearance of American journalist Roxana Saberi in Iran after running afoul of the police for “illegal reporting”. Today, Fox and AP both report that the Iranians have charged Saberi with espionage for her efforts to write a book about the Iranian people:

The lawyer for an Iranian-American journalist detained in Iran says she has been charged with espionage.

The lawyer, Abdolsamad Khorramshahi, says Roxana Saberi has been informed of the charges against her.

Saberi has apparently been held since late January on charges of purchasing alcohol, but the real crime is journalism without a license. Iran revoked Saberi’s permission to work as a journalist, but she chose to remain behind anyway to work on her book. Iranians often revoke permits for journalists while ignoring their work, but they obviously came to a different decision about Saberi — at the same time Barack Obama took the oath of office.

Joe Biden warned in October that nations would find ways to test a new, inexperienced President, and this looks like that kind of effort. The Iranians have gone out of their way to reject Obama’s overtures since he took office, including his call for greater dialogue. They have cemented their position on nuclear research, and have done their best to look as intransigent as possible. Thus far, they have not gotten Obama to push back against their rhetoric.

The trial of Roxana Saberi looks like another boundary test. Will Obama demand Saberi’s release publicly? Will Iran use it as a bargaining chip for further concessions? We will soon see how Obama responds to this test. In the meantime, keep Saberi and her family in your prayers.

Well alrighty then. Someone forgot their meds

At least one sane person commented on the comments above:

“He’s the president of the United States. You liberals are the nastiest, most hateful people I know. I’m ashamed of Seattle.”

Amen brother!

At least Hasselbeck and Strong have their heads on straight:

<blockquote?Added Hasselbeck: "I don't understand. This is America. We're not going to agree on everything."

Strong doesn't get it either, saying: "Any time you have a world leader come to your city, you should welcome him whether you like the person or not. That was the right thing to do."

But Matt, don’t you understand?! Obviously the re-education camps (Public Screw-el) didn’t do their job on you. You can think for yourself and you respect other’s opinions; how dare you!

Geezus lefties give me a headache! How can a once sane political ideology get hijacked in such a short amount of time by the most hateful people there are?

very sad.
