eHarmony has settled a civil rights complaint filed by a gay man in New Jersey. The settlement requires eHarmony to provide services for homosexuals, though the service will be hosted under another domain with a disclaimed stating that the compatibility test was designed with research on married, heterosexual couples only.

Excuse while I pick my jaw up off of the floor. So, now one can sue because a business does not sell the service that you want. Should I be able to sue a women’s clothing store because they do not sell men’s clothing? How about we men start suing gynecologists because they do not see male patients. Yes, yes, I know that gynecologists are trained in a narrow specialty and probably lack expertise in men’s health issues, but eHarmony lacks expertise in homosexual relationships too. If they can be forced to go outside their area of expertise then so can other professions.

Scott Eckern, The artistic director at the California Musical Theatre exercised his 1st amendment rights in California by donating $1,000 to the yes on prop. 8 campaign. Clearly a crime of hate that must be punished!

Now, if people want to boycott Mr. Eckern and his employer, then I have no problem with that. I find it hypocritical, though, after the left told us that we were crushing the 1st amendment rights of the Ditzy Chicks by not buying their albums or going to their concerts after Natalie Maines made a series of critical comments about our country at home and abroad. So, I guess boycotts and freedom of association are OK as long as it is not the left’s ox being gored.

Trinity Medial Center in Carrollton, Texas had a problem. They had someone try to gain employment using a stolen social security number. Now what do you expect them to do? Should they just hire the person? Should they just quietly not hire the person? Or should they do just as they did and notify the authorities?

Well if you are Carlos Quintanilla, you are certainly against the last option which makes the hospital an “agent of the government” and is just “low” for perpetrating “entrapment”. Never mind that what Ms. Martinez did of her own volition was a federal felony. Never mind that the deceased person’s social security might still be used their widow or widower and their benefits might be in trouble because the social security administration may think the deceased person is working again. Nope, Mr. Quintanilla does not care how it might affect society because, you see, Ms. Martinez is an illegal immigrant from Mexico. I doubt that Mr. Quintanilla would be so forgiving for someone like me had we committed the exact same crime since a) I am a U.S. citizen and b) I am not Hispanic.

Remember folks, we are the racists for not embracing such illegal, fraudulent behavior by illegal…oops…undocumented immigrants.
