I read in Variety several weeks ago that Sicko was being “repackaged” because its numbers were so far down as a docudrama. Listing it as a comedy was thought to be sooo clever as to insure brisk initial sales. Guess we will see.

After watching Farenheit 911 I won’t be watching another one of his movies. They seem to be very one sided. I don’t know how it is in other states but in California you can get charity by filling out a form and depending on how much you make you can get help if you go to the hospital. Another thing hospitals can’t just kick you out they have to stabilize you.

In America medical care is first come, first served. There are exceptions to this, such as emergency care, where the most severe are treated first, and appointed/scheduled visits. I am sure our resident naysayers will toddle through and screech that ain’t so, oh well.

In socialist health systems you have tiering, medical care is dolled out by a set of priorities that have nothing to do with level of need or severity of illness/injury. You come through the door after they have filled their daily quota, or 10 minutes before close of business, and you are screwed. Emergency services are the only open segment of socialist health systems, oh, and private practice doctors and hospitals. They are swamped, and people in countries like England and Canada are traveling abroad to obtain healthcare.

Mikey likes to pretend all this does not exist. And yet he has the best healthcare money can buy. Why is he not sharing any of that with the poor he claims to care about? That is the crux of the matter. Why are all the people advocating socialist healthcare excluding themselves and their families from it?

Rather telling, when you think on it for a while.

You don’t have to be a moron to be a liberal Democrat but it sure helps.
