Officer Nabs Scruffy Bob Dylan By Mistake
A rookie cop was left red-faced after nabbing a scruffy suspect walking along a street - not realising it was music legend Bob Dylan.
Police were called after a resident of the New Jersey town of Long Branch spotted a shabbily dressed man acting suspiciously.
A 24-year-old policewoman was dispatched to investigate the report of the man wandering in the town’s Latin Quarter.
Dylan is widely considered as one of the 20th century’s most important musical influences.
He was in the town, about a two-hour drive south of New York City, on July 23 as part of a stadium tour with fellow music greats Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp
