Want to stop illegal immigration?

Take a look at your credit reports.

Remember, illegals cannot work in many of the jobs they take without providing someone’s personal information.  It just might be yours.

Taking a quick look can also be very helpful at tax time (who else is reporting income to your SSN?), when looking for a job, or when applying for credit.  Make it a tradition for you & those you care about each January.

I certainly think this is a good idea, but what makes you think the government will do a thing about an identity theft crime if you report it?

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

Easy; ICE has repeatedly used patterns of identity theft to locate employers with a lot of illegal workers.  Remember the big meatpacking raids a year or so back, for example?

Even ICE will take action when they get enough information, I think.

Doesn’t the government already know when a social security number is used more than once?

Part of it does, but that part is forbidden by executive order or law from telling ICE about it, I believe.

That’s where you come in, if perchance your credit report shows that someone is piggybacking on your good credit.

Sage advice, Bubba, but I share Whistler’s cynicism about the effectiveness of reporting it to the government.

But it never hurts to try, I guess.

My wife has pretty much dented up my good credit anyhow.
