Wake-Up Call for Black Americans

I’d like to point out to those African Americans who buy into the racist stereotype that Republicans are bigots who don’t represent anybody but the white guy:

There will NEVER be a black Democrat who will be the first black US Senator, first black US Representative, first black American to preside over a session over the US Senate, first black National Security Advisor, first black Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, first (or second) black Secretary of State, or the first black Supreme Court justice.  That’s right, those milestones have all been accomplished by black Republicans.

In fact, the first black US Senator and US Representative were elected to Congress in 1870s, long before the Democrats stuffed their white hoods in the dumpster and finally quit voting against civil rights legislation.

With all these Obamagasms going on, I just thought I would clarify that the stereotype of the Republican party as a white party is hogwash.  While the Democrats talk a pretty tough game when it comes to racism, the Republicans have been quietly electing African Americans to political office for over 130 years.

Nice post Clint.  However, I guess us Republicans missed out on electing the first black President, Bill Clinton—at least according to some Democrats.  Apparantly skin color doesn’t make for ‘black’ in the minds of Democrats, liberalism does.  No wonder all those black republican ‘firsts’ were disregarded.

Who freed the slaves?  Lincoln.

Who had the first black man to the White House as a guest?  Teddy Roosevelt.

Who had the first black woman to the White House as a guest?  Teddy Roosevelt.

Who made the first federal appointment of a black person?  Teddy Roosevelt.

The only tarnish on the GOP’s civil rights record is the defection of the “Dixiecrats” from the Dems to the Republicans.  But outside of that, the GOP’s civil rights record is long and proud.  Much longer and much prouder than the Democrats’.

In fact, I’m not even sure the Democrats did anything on civil rights until they figured out they could trap minorities as voting blocks by turning them into victims and pimping government entitlements to them.

When the people fear their government, there is tyranny; when the government fears the people, there is liberty.

The Dixiecrats were a white supremacist splinter-party of the Democratic Party in the mid-20th century who were determined to protect what they saw as the southern way of life against an oppressive United States federal government.

The term Dixiecrat is a portmanteau of Dixie, referring to the Southern United States, and Democrat, referring to the United States Democratic Party. Initially, it referred to a splinter from the party in the 1948 U.S. presidential election: for over a century, white Southerners had overwhelmingly been Democrats, but that year many bolted the party and supported Strom Thurmond’s third-party candidacy for president of the United States. The emergence of the solid Democratic South followed the end of Reconstruction Period when the then Republicans used the post-Civil War period to help African-Americans emerge from slavery and secure their political and voting rights. When white Southerners reclaimed political control in the late 1800s with the aid of organizations like the Ku Klux Klan and the lynching of black activists, the region gave its political allegiance to the then Democratic Party.

Over the next several decades, as the white South slowly re-aligned from the Democrats to the Republicans, the term came to have a broader usage, including, for example, with reference to the members of the Electoral College who in the election of 1960 voted for Harry Flood Byrd rather than John F. Kennedy, or the white Southern voters and electors who in 1968 supported George C. Wallace.

The term has also been used to refer to conservative white Southerners who remain within the Democratic Party, and those who were formerly Democrats but now identify as Republicans.

2H9,

While you’re at it, throw in Bill Clinton, AlGore, Jimmy Carter, Kathleen Blanco, and John Edwards… all good southern Democrats.

Scared,

It was probably the combination of the words “good” and “Democrats” that confused you.  I intended neither the the oxymoron, nor any resulting loss of intellectual equilibrium.  My apologies.

Willie Jeff and Algore are part of the generation that carried the Democrat Party the next step along the long followed path towards a socialist democracy during the ‘80s and ‘90s. Ms Blanco is a part of the tried and true Louisiana Democrat Party machine. Politics in LA are a world unto themselves, with profitable interactions with the Fedreal Government thrown in.

Bat One,
I forgive you. I thought you were taking a cheap shot by presenting a badly constructed argument while completely ignoring history. My bad. It’s an easy mistake my friend.

Scared,

I don’t do “badly constructed arguments.” No apologies necessary.

I stand corrected. Your personal affirmations have much weight. But you still fail to account for your “turning a blind eye” to history. Thanks for the list WOOF.

Bobby L. Rush (D-IL)

A leader of the militant Black Panther Party in the 1960s.

John Conyers, Jr. (D - MI).

Conyers is one of the top recipients of donations from the Arab-American Leadership PAC. And not surprisingly, he has a long history of pandering to Arab and Muslim voters.

During the first Gulf War, for instance, Conyers fought FBI outreach efforts in the Arab and Muslim community in Detroit that were designed to gather intelligence on potential cells and protect the home front.

Leading a Democrat jihad to deny law enforcement key terror-fighting tools he is in the pocket of Islamists.

Son of a leftist Detroit union activist, he represents the largest Arab population in the country.

His district includes Dearborn, Mich., nicknamed “Dearbornistan” by locals fed up with cultural encroachment and terror fears from a steady influx of Mideast immigrants.

Just looking at the list of senior Democrat Party members is enough to make a RICO prosecutor’s mouth-water.

Tell you what, kids. List for us all the “African-American” senior staffers working for Democrats in Congress. Not scumbag politicians, the people they hire to run their operations. Lets see that list. And while we are at it, how about a list of “African-Americans” who have held senior Cabinet Staff and senior, top leadership positions in the Admins of the last 3 Democrat Presidents.
