Taliban release video of kidnapped U.S. soldier begging for freedom

In a disturbing new video released by the Taliban, an American soldier who went missing from his base in Afghanistan last month breaks down emotionally as he describes his fear of never being able to return home.

The soldier is shown in the 28-minute video with a shaved head, a light beard and wearing just a grey shalwar kameez.
U.S. officials have confirmed that the man was the American soldier who went missing in eastern Afghanistan on June 30, however they have not released his name.

A concern for me here is that our military have seemed to have abandoned the age old military principle of giving only their name, rank and serial number when captured. On the other hand, as long as they don’t give away key military information and it helps them get food and other minimal care. I cannot get too upset about playing the game.
