Value

Now for some fun.
This Old Retired Petty Officer has done more for this country in a single day than either clinton or obama have done collectively in their entire lives. For one reason,I took the oath of enlistment seriously. That being said, when on active service, a service member does not serve the man but the Office. This was imparted to me by an old crusty Chief Petty Officer. As I have been retired from active service for almost 15 years, I can take liberties as it were. For one, I do not pop tall for just any member of the Congress. I don’t work for them anymore. The Congress ceased being in my chain of command on 30 September 1993. I have done a pretty good job of taking care of myself and my family since then.  So value wise, I am better.

So the only way you have value is to serve in the military?  Ronald Reagan and Dick Cheney would be sad to hear this.

Obama worked in underprivileged communities.  I think this is honorable “service”.

Me too.

Lestat,

Your response is the same boorish stupidity you’ve shown so tediously often in the past.  The word “only” is neither stated explicitly nor implied anywhere in rigger’s post.

It must be a congenital dysfunction among “progressives” that drives you to put words in other people’s mouths when you find yourselves at a loss for anything cogent to say in response.  Perhaps a change in medication would help?

Absolutely… if you consider ACORN honorable.

He says that he has done more for his country in one day than Obama in his whole life.  Than he points out that he is a retired Petty Officer.

The obvious conclusion is that Obama has never done in service.  I point out the work that Obama has clearly done.  He has ignored this.  I must conclude that he only thinks that being in the Military is service.

He is free to come defend himself and clarify his statements.

Lestat,

Reagan was an officer in the California National Guard and was called to federal service in WWII.

Glad to see you’re keeping up your established record for factual accuracy…

So what are Obama’s major accomplishments?

rigger, thank you for your service.

A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.

Reagan served in the Army Film Studios. I’m not impressed.

Hey, rig, what was your Navy rating?  I help train Polaris FTs in the 60s.

Harry Reid was a part-time security guard at the Capital while he attended law school.

Nobody much cares about trying to impress you, Lestat.  Sorry!
