US Episcopal Church Officllay Drops Gay Bishops Ban
Bishops of the Anglican Church in the United States have voted to overturn a three-year ban on the appointment of gay bishops.
The decision seems likely to lead to the Episcopal Church’s eventual exit from the worldwide Anglican Communion.
The Communion has been fighting to avoid disintegration since the Episcopal Church consecrated the openly gay bishop Gene Robinson in 2003.
The decision was made at the church’s General Convention in California.
The Episcopal Church for the most part, has long been doctrinally way outside the traditional teachings of the Christian Church, being extremely heterodox in their beliefs. Like “The Gay Girls Guide” commenting at SAB under a Reader’s Post, that said she was a Christian but did not believe Jesus ever existed, that he did not die for her sins and believed the Bible to be a collection of myths; the Episcopal Church only claims Christianity but they are not in any manner a part of the Christian Church, so in a manner of speaking this does not matter very much, people of the principality of this world system have no impact upon the genuine Church.
If the Anglican Church still has any faith in Christ or allegiance to Scripture, they must move swiftly to deny the Episcopal Church having any part in their communion. If they keep playing games to avoid a schism, then I must suspect they to are no longer part of the Christian Church.
The only thing this accomplishes is that it allows gays to pretend their lifestyle choice is approved by God and they are morally acceptable to God.
Sad to see any organization claim membership in the Body of Christ and then to ordain sexual perverts.
