Trip to Halifax, Day Three

We left Minneapolis this morning and stopped in Green Bay Wisconsin.

I didn’t lose the pictures on my camera!  I downloaded them off my camera onto my computer and there they were.  The one above is of Paul Bunyon and Babe the Blue Ox.

This next one is of Lambeau Field.  It was getting dark so it’s kind of fuzzy.

We were going through Monominie, WS and saw a sign that directed us to information about Laura Ingalls Wilder.  We followed the signs and came to this building.

We didn’t find any information about Laura but the building was amazing.  It was built in memory of Andrew Tainter’s daughter Mabel who died of “cancer of the side” which was probably a burst appendix, at the age of 19.  It was originally a library and church but is now a church, theater, and community center.

We checked into the hotel in Green Bay and were too tried to go out to eat so Rollie fixed this supper for me.

More tomorrow as we head for Chicago and points east.

Oh well… Rob’s lesson on uploading pictures didn’t take.  I’ll have to call him and try again tomorrow.  Sorry.

Oh me.  I called Rob to tell him my problem and when I went to edit like he said, lo and behold there were my pictures.  Doh.

Carol, when you upload the top section is for thumbnails (little pictures) and the lower section has the full-sized pictures.

I’m sure Rob showed you the wrong ones to cut ‘n paste.

wink

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

Very well done! You have inspired me, I patched a pair of my work pants yesterday morning with some Gorilla Glue duct tape(crawling around on my hands and knees laying a sandstone patio) and after 2 days it is still on. I am going to send pics to Gorilla as a testimonial. I’ll try to do them here first to figure out how.

I fixed you up. The Whistler is right. You had the thumbnails loaded instead of the regular sized pics.

Now with the larger picture I can see I don’t ever want Mr. Port cooking lunch for me?

Thanks Likwid.  I’ll try again tonight.

I ate the fruit and flushed the kippers and burned toast.  His heart is in the right place though

Flushed the kippers! What a sin!
I like the picture of Paul and Babe.

Won’t flush ‘em anymore.

Glad you liked the picture.
