Today’s Motivational Video: The M1A2

Are you feeling down in the dumps?  Well your depression is over… Watching this video of our country’s finest land-based piece of killing machinery is good for what ails ya!

It’s hard not to get excited when you see these 70 ton death dealers shooting and moving.

And if armor doesn’t do it for ya, you may still want to watch the video if you like funk music.

(Yes, I know that there are at least a couple of M1A1's in there.)

Thanks, dude!
I’m feeling better already.

The sabot shot was cool… Would have been nice to see the impact…

This video reminds me of the Grouchy ones.

I think Taliban Bodies is my favorite, but mainly cuz I like the soundtrack.

I prefer Prozac for my depression, plus no innocent people die.
$12,591,977,910 for General Dynamics last year.......that’s a lot of Prozac.

What’s the mpg on one of them things....wait, what’s the gallons per mile on one them things?

MD: Get off the Prozac; it doesn’t help your thinking.  You’re overly emotional.

Save America; boycott the MSM.

Since I don’t believe it’s your money, what do you care?

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

The gallons per mile are two to one! (and seven to start the engine) They are AWESOME!  I’m sure that people like you, Mark, would much rather see our troops fighting with sticks instead of the best machinery in the world.  THEY are the innocent people, and the Abrams series of tanks help with those innocent people not dying.

I’m glad it motivated others, though.
electnixon, “Bodies” is always a great song for a military video.  I know it gets my blood pumping!  And the Sabot was a training round, so the impact wouldn’t have been spectacular.  However, that was the deciding factor in posting this video because it was extremely cool to see.

“Hope is not a method.” - Common Military Saying

The above is a statement of pro activity.  If any Soldier were to tell me that he hoped what he was briefing was going to come to fruition, that would be unacceptable.  We in the Army do not have the luxury to ‘hope’ that things will end well.  Hope will get us killed.  Instead, we must plan and take action.  Hope is not a method.

As a leader I can never ‘hope’ that my Soldiers have the proper training.  I can never ‘hope’ that my Soldiers have the proper logistical supplies.  I can never ‘hope’ that my Soldiers will survive the next mission.  Hope is not a method; I live in the real world.

Your right I don’t pay taxes… my smack houses are very profitable and tax free, and with Afghanistan production back up due to the US invasion it’s a win win situation. We need more troops in Afgani land, Taliban is cutting into my profits by shutting down my fields.

Just trying to cut the the cost of the republican defense contractor welfare program so you people who don’t have to pay so much.

Hmmmm Are you talkin about Iraq?

Cue the moonbatty trollspew about DU rounds…

electnixon on March 9, 2007 at 10:53 am

I hope that you aren’t accusing me of not supporting DU rounds… There is a difference between a training sabot and a DU sabot.  We have different rounds for training.

definitely not.  I was refering to any of our resident moonbats, or one of the occasional traveling ones who pop in, make a stupid comment, and you never hear from again.

Kind of like this comment:

$12,591,977,910 for General Dynamics last year.

Considering that the Abrams has been the #1 tank in the world for almost 40 years, I’d say it’s been a bargain.

electnixon on March 9, 2007 at 11:23 am

Don’t worry, gang! The initials “DU” will bring the moonbats. Its like catnip. Either they have it set as a search parameter for Democrat Underground or depleted uranium, either way they will come.

And for the record, my DU problem is with 30,20, and 25 mm rounds. Sabots go one rd per target. Chainguns and GAUs tend to spluge 10-20 or more per target. Upping the amount of DU dust generated. I know its a nit, and I’m picking it, but there it is.
