The A-10 is what flying is all about - CLOSE SUPPORT. Flying low, taking hits, dropping ‘palm, and making another pass! (if we still used napalm… *pouting*)
I never got to operate with A-10s in Iraq, but I did get to see them fly during one of our tank gunneries in Korea. I also learned that 1 out of 9 female A-10 pilots are good looking (From a sampling of… 9 female A-10 pilots). That’s the type of research that you do when you are a lieutenant.
