The German’s cant be Serious?

We cant take this seriously can we?
Arrest Warrents issued for 13 CIA members
I can’t see our US marshals service or FBI agents handing over CIA agents.

Munich-based Bavarian senior state public prosecutor Christian Schmidt-Sommerfeld said in a statement Wednesday that the warrants had been issued in the last few days. He said the agents are being sought on suspicion of abducting and wrongfully imprisoning al-Masri as well as causing him grievous bodily harm. Al-Masri was allegely abducted in a case of the controversial CIA practice known as “extraordinary rendition,” which involves kidnapping terrorist suspects and flying them to third countries to be interrogated.

The prosecutor’s office refused to reveal the names of the people sought. However Schmidt-Sommerfeld said in a statement that “the personal details contained in the arrest warrants are, according to our current knowledge, aliases of CIA agents.” He added that, “further investigation will, among other things, concentrate on trying to determine the clear identities of the suspects.” Prosecutors did not state the nationalities of the suspects. However, according to German media reports, most of the suspects are resident in the US.

This is refreshing.

The case has strained US-German relations. However it is believed to be unlikely that the US would hand over suspects to be tried in Germany, as German arrest warrants are not valid in the US. Without the real names of the suspects, the warrants are in any case largely symbolic, commentators pointed out.

Would any gov’t be serious about the kidnapping and torture of its citizens? Maybe/

The ARD magazine show Panorama was able, in the past autumn, to uncover some of the CIA agents and seek them out in their private residences in the US state North Carolina.

I agree with the USA by not recognizing these arrest warrents. Its almost mission impossible stuff.

Of course there isn’t anything suspicious about this man.

According to the German weekly Focus (February 24), the full report identified Khaled Al-Masri as having been a “leading member” of the radical Al-Tawhid movement in Lebanon in the early 1980s

This article has more on the man who like most peaceloving muslims would not lift a finger to hurth anyone.

You don’t have to be a moron to be a liberal Democrat but it sure helps.

It could be an anticipatory warrant.

During the Cold War, Germany possibly had the highest density of Soviet-Bloc agents, spies, front groups, what-have-you, than anywhere else in the world, it being smack dab front and center of the Iron Curtain.

The West German version of TIME is known as DER SPIEGEL.  That rag was outed as being under the control of the KGB.  Heck, even some high-level West German ministers were outed as having been suborned by the KGB.

So it comes as no surprise that under the aegis of International Civil Rights law, they will declare jurisdiction, or as they say “Kompetenz” over US citizens.  What I haven’t read was whether those CIA-types had at any time been operating in Germany, which would at least lend color to a territorial jurisdiction argument.

Perhaps it’s Nuremburg coming back to bite us in the butt.  The Nazis we tried were all acting perfectly legally under the Nazi laws at the time.  Hence, their mystified defense of ‘I was following orders’

We had to come up with something outside written law, rather than just admit that we won, goshdarnit, and we were going to give the worst apples a fair trial before we shot them.  We had to come up with the concept of international human rights and try them for crimes against humanity.  WTF was that?
We should have just shot them and have been done with it.  It would have been more honest.

Now, the Left (no doubt) have turned the weapon of international human rights against our Spooks.  German Lefties, as I saw them, were bitter, unhappy people.  Having been raised to hate their own country, they revelled in hating the USA and were uniformly blind to the evils of Socialism.  Heck they revelled in being Leftists.

This secret prisons thing is simply a target of opportunity for them.  The outing the existence of such prisons makes the Plame Affair completely insignificant in comparison and seriously damages the US and Western Europe’s interest.

Perhaps Western Europe even more than us, because if our problem is too many illegal Mexicans, Europes problem is a substantial permanent class of enemy Islamic aliens who are bent on destroying their host countries.  Look at the destruction that swept France and other parts of Europe over some stupid cartoons.  The fact that the French treated the rioters with kidd gloves only encouraged more rage and destructive behaviour.  What they should have done was to load up platoons of Mk-19s with rubber bullets and stitch the crowds until they saw the error of their ways.

Like the US-based Left, Europe’s Left is bent on self-destruction.  This court action doesn’t surprise me in the least—it’s not German—it’s LEFT.

Maybe Nostradamus was onto something.

This is the reason I like the USA better than Europe, rather will dealing with issues they are coddling these people. If they act out deport them or throw them in jail.
Its not all that hard.
