Teens’ Pregnancy Pact

A high school nurse in Gloucester, Mass., became suspicious when students who asked for pregnancy tests seemed upset when the tests were negative. Now 17 girls from the school—all 16 or younger—are expecting babies in what school officials call a pregnancy pact.

Ten buck says this “pregnancy pact” turns out to be BULL SHIT.  Just a bunch of bored teens in Bumfuck, Massachusetts with no parental supervision.

Time to find the bulls who sired the cows and castrate them. In a real cattle herd the young bulls would not have a chance of siring anything but a fence post. Something wrong here. It is time for the grown up bulls to enforce natures law. Bitch slap the little bastards. And if they are grown up remove them from the herd and.......you fill in the blanks.

Personally, I think this is real; we take young ladies and gentlemen, and we tell the ladies first that they ought to think just about career until they’re at least 35 and no longer fertile.  If they wear something feminine like a dress or skirt, they are mercilessly hounded.  In the same way, the boys are told to keep their energy pent up and spend their time in sedentary pursuits like poetry.

We take away the normal outlets for masculinity and femininity, and then we act surprised that kids find the only outlet left to them.  Duh.

This really pisses me off! These girls maliciously planned to get pregnant in order to bring some meaning to their pathetic lives. There is no mistaking their intentions. But guess what? The girls are considered minors (all are 16 yrs old) and it seems that the school and the young men involved are at fault here. I mean these darling little girls were preyed upon by sex crazy boys and older men. The talking heads say girls that age are too mentally immature to make decisions about sex and pregnancy. Why do some people refuse to make young women accountable for their actions when it comes to sex and teen pregnancies? This scheme seems very adult in its scope. Don’t use birth control + have unprotected sex = make a baby. Now those in the town and the media are blaming the school for not doing more. Some are blaming the recent movies Juno and Knocked Up for glamorizing unwed pregnancy. The school is considering providing more accessability to birth control for girls. City officials are also considering criminal charges against the boys and men who were unwitting participants. I say it is time to stop giving these girls a free ride. If they plan to get pregnant, then let them pay for it. No more going after some poor unsuspecting guy for child support. Put them on welfare until they get jobs. After which they will have to reimburse the state for the money they received. Just like college loans. I bet if you did that, this kind of scam will dry up quickly.

What?

Come on.

That sounded like an excuse from a knocked up teenager.

No, think about it.  Go to a school, and ask a teacher what your son will be told if he expresses an interest in the military or guns, combat or contact sports, wood or metal shop, or simply needs to get a little bit of energy out of his system.  Will he be pointed towards older men who will interact with him, or will they give him Ritalin?

In the same way, go again and ask a teacher at the same school what will happen when a girl comes to school wearing a nice dress, wants to specialize in home ec, typing, and music, and has no dreams other than meeting her personal Prince Charming and raising 3 children and driving a woody wagon in a little house on the edge of town.  Will the guidance counselor accept that, or steer her towards jeans, a college prep set of courses, and the basketball or soccer team?

Now like you hint; certainly this isn’t the ONLY thing going on.  However, our society is increasingly taking a harsh line against traditional expressions of masculinity and femininity, to the point where the only “trump card” that boys and girls have left is their own bodies and the things they can do with them.
