Stupid People At Taxpayers Expense
I found this over at red collars blog and I felt I just needed to share it. It irritates me that the some people in society expect us to pay for their stupidity. Heh.. and no I’m not talking about socialize health care. Close, but not this time
As a past medic I worked my share of emergency rescues in the mountains for injured snowmobilers, a few victims off the side of cliffs, snowboarders boarding off the marked trail and even injured hotshot jet skiers. No biggy. No biggy because I worked for a private company and when we left our station the charges started. PERIOD. And there is no getting out of paying ... and we’re talking several thousand dollars if we started up the chopper or jet. The following clip is a different issue all together and it irks me to no end.
I hope this asswipe of a kid ticks you off as much as he does me.
Over the last several months I have encountered my share of personal emergencies that required the use of the local county/city EMS. I wasn’t out looking for adventure. I was simply living my life and an unexpected near fatal situation occurred. It never entered my mind that I would not pay for the services I received.
It boggles my mind how the stupider than stupid people out there are getting away with a free ride on our money
