Government competition in the marketplace
How can we legally allow our government to take revenues out of the coffers of private companies such as FedEx and UPS? Revenues, on which taxes flow to the very entity they’re competing with. Is this in any way fair? Until FedEx and UPS risked their capital, and proved there was a market for their services, the USPS was uninterested, but once they saw money could be made, they jumped on board. I’d wager, though, that the government even loses money in this endeavor, as they do with everything they touch. What really makes this a tragic, yet hilarious, farce is the monies the government spends on advertising. I have seen substantial, permanent signs, blazing away at midnight, along major highways, advising us that there is a post office in the local town. Like I have to be “advised” of that information. If I need a post office you’ll find me searching for one somewhere downtown. I’ll just assume it wouldn’t be located in a swamp outside the city. I’ll bet the bulbs in those signs are not CFLs either. Rest assured billions are involved in advertising, and it is completely unnecessary. Perhaps this is, somehow, related to the warnings we give idiots that Hot coffee can burn. Then there are the TV ads, which must cost a fortune, but hey, they don’t care, they’ve always got we suckers to turn to.
Isn’t it something, we allow them a monopoly and they still can’t figure out how to make it work. Even when others show them how to do it at a profit, they’re still ineffectual. It is precisely at this moment, when we still have a chance to stop these certain incompetents, perhaps thieves, from taking over a much larger segment of our society, our health care system, that we must rise together and shout “no more, we’ve had it with your crap”. If Obama’s, and Liberals, objective is , and I’m sure it is, to have the majority of us pay the premiums for the uninsured “poor people”, read Blacks, then let’s tell him to do so. We know they’re destined to get a free ride anyway, don’t we. We’ve come to the realization that most Blacks were so mentally crippled by their trip across the sea that they are unable to advance themselves, in any manner, without receiving some sort of dole. Funny thing is, those they left behind haven’t set the world on fire either, have they? So we’ve become accustomed to paying their way, and this is just another, never ending, add on. But let’s also tell him and his sycophants, to leave the aggregate of the health care system in place, as most of it seems to be working just fine. In other words, Don’t throw out the Baby with the Bathwater.
