Strapping on my 45

Supremes let concealed carry back into America.  I’m strapping on my 45.

Thank you sirs.  (the madam voted against it)

I feel better already.

Gene - I was leaving Chicago when this came down today. From what I heard, if I understand it correctly, if you owned and registered your .45 prior to the law passed in ‘82, you’re legal. You can’t carry off of your property, but you’re legal. You could even purchase handguns after the ‘82 law, but they had to be registered. What makes all newly purchased handguns illegal in Chi-town is that the city and surrounding communities closed registration. To no avail. You can still register shotguns. A Remington 12 gage semi-auto is a much better home defense weapon anyway. A little cumbersome in hallways, but if you can take out an intruders lungs and cut his/her spine in two with just one shot, well then you’ve secured the situation. Except for the cleanup in aisle 3.

^ Anyway, from what I heard on WLS after the ruling came down, the Chicago area law bans unregistered guns, however the communities conveniently won’t register guns that can be operated with just 1 hand. Correct?
