Some things worth noting
Read the other day that So. Dak. was bragging of their astuteness in importing pheasants 100 yrs. ago. They started with six birds from China and now estimate there are 12 mill. or so. Last year the hunting of those birds brought expenditures of $219,000.000 by pheasant hunters to the state. Why does No. Dak. practically ignore this wonderful source of revenue to the small towns scattered in southern N. D. particularly? And to those who think all hunting is ungodly, screw you. Some of the finest days I’ve spent on this earth were walking cornfields, and such, in search of the birds.
Along those lines I’ve also noticed that the “tree huggers” are taking exception to drilling for oil in N.Dak. by trotting out the old “Sage Brush” endangerment saw. Don’t let them destroy your/our economic future. Their central feature is Prudism which can best be described as a fear “that someone, somewhere, is having a good time and that cannot be allowed to occur”. By the way, it is really so easy to get rid of those politicians who are crooks and/or numbskulls, just mark the ballot for their opponent. Try it, you’ll like it. Also I’d like to commend the voters of N.Dak. for voting against “the Lottery”. The only state ever to do so.
