School Sex Education Becomes OJT

In WorldNetDaily today is this featured article SEXTRA CREDIT Sex assaults by teachers on students an ‘epidemic’

An estimated 5 million students in United States schools have been assaulted sexually by teachers, according to a congressional report

But no one seems very upset about this

But no one is calling for investigations or law enforcement crackdowns, there have been no campaigns to ban the offenders from schools, and in many states there aren’t even any requirements such predator attacks be reported to education licensing agencies.

In recent months, there have been an alarming string of dozens of cases of female teacher-on-male student sexual assaults.  In fact, in many cases, especially where the attacker is a woman and the student a male, such assaults are treated as a joke, with a hand-slap for the teacher, and some ribald locker room humor directed at the student

For those hardup guys looking for a good time, here is a list of these women teachers posted by WND.

More seriously, this epidemic or trend of what amounts to child molestation does not bode well for the school system, the children and their families and for the nation.  Of course the NEA does not take it very serious.  For my part, I see teacher sex molestation as just another reason for parents to home school.

The article is rather long but may be worth reading especially for those that have school age children.

The problem’s evidently pretty old, as “Anne of Green Gables” (yes, the classic book) features a teacher hitting on one of his students.  Yes, it’s fiction, but the author apparently felt it was believeable.

It’s also worth noting that teachers used to be required to demonstrate a bit of moral purity in their non-teaching life, including regular church attendance.  Probably couldn’t get past the ACLU, but might be worth considering.

Just another reason why public school sex education is a bad idea.

I don’t know about that, R*108--but perhaps we do need to include teachers among those taught that sex is a powerful thing that needs to be handled responsibly, not thrown around at every bacchanal held by students and such.

I don’t believe that these sexual paramours ara tied to formal sex education in any way but are really cases of pedophile.

RP/dd: I made that statement because kids should be very wary of hearing anything sexual from any adult who is not their parent, but the teaching about sex in public school desensitizes them to that, which removes one of the protective barriers that kids should have.  They sit in a classroom, while an adult stranger talks to them about sex, and even asks them questions about sex, which is exactly what sexual predators do.  Later, when they encounter a sexual predator, it’s not so unusual for them, and they are easier prey, especially when the predator is a teacher.  Understand?

robert, you get no argument from me concerning sex education or any of the other social engineering classes that have no place in the school system.

Reading the list of molesters, I was appalled at how many teachers were given such minimal sentences.  Male or female, a molester is a molester is a molester.  Throw the book at all of them.

Carol, as I posted

In fact, in many cases, especially where the attacker is a woman and the student a male, such assaults are treated as a joke

, and of course, boys being boys will also make off-color jokes and sometimes brag about their conquests. e.g. Guess what teacher I did.  The penalty that they are not realizing is the acceleration of their adult development and how it affects the young mans attitude toward women in the post-school life.

We just had another case involving a 59 year old female principal covering up a female cheerleader coach giving two underaged girls students alcohol and involving them in a ‘sex party’ Shameful.  But the state will probably ‘buy out’ her time, just like they did the DMV person who squandered money.

I know. I read it.  I also believe that sex education does not belong in the schools.  Sex, and teen pregnancy, and sexual activity are glamorized in the schools.  My daughters’ high school had a party for all the pregnant students and those who had babies.  Everybody thought it was “so cool.” One of my daughters was given an assignment in social studies to set herself up as an unwed mother.  She was to make a plan for taking care of herself and a baby, including looking into what social services would be available to her as a teen unwed mother.  I was horrified and pitched a fit.  She was allowed to do her assignment on the breathalyzer because of me; but all the other students followed the teachers direction.  I knew she would never become and teen mother so I used the argument that of what educational value was that assignment to her.  If more parents would make a stand maybe we wouldn’t have to worry about what all this information about sex and pregnancy is doing to our kids.  In my former job, I met mothers who didn’t even know the names of their kids’ teachers.  Parents need to take care of their kids.  Not the schools and not social services.  It’s been made too easy for parents to give up their parental rights to parent their children.  I discovered if you yell long enough and loud enough sometimes you win.

Carol, thanks for yet another reason to keep my kids out of the government schools. Yikes--this also illustrates why it’s so hard to convict teachers; the situation is already sexually charged by design.

Which is, in a nutshell, Robert108’s point; that when you teach about the various ways people screw up their sexuality, you break down their barriers to screwing up their own sexuality.  Yikes.

(thanks, R*108--I hadn’t really thought of it that way before)
