If I were much of a betting man, I’d bet that the exact same thing has happened with every other presidential campaign. I also don’t think Hillary had anything to do with it. Not that I think it’s beneath her. I just think she’d somehow manage to make it more than the peanuts this appears to amout to. Instead of less than $1000, it would be tens of thousands or more.

Ron Paul supporters are low. Not only do they incessantly spam websites, not only do they steal campaign money, not only do they stuff online ballots, they make fake candidate forums.

Let’s keep in mind that we don’t have any clear evidence that the charges were made by those actually supporting Dr. Paul, OK?  If I multiply those “possible hundreds” of supporters times $5/contribution, I get to maybe a few thousand dollars.

And certainly the rest of the 36,000 contributors should be audited as well.  Reality is, though, that we don’t have the evidence (YET) to implicate anyone except for a few credit card thieves.

I’ve never seen any of this spamming, not even a single email out of the hundreds of spam messages I get every day, which seems odd if it’s really so ubiquitous. I’ve certainly never done any of it myself. Either it isn’t nearly the problem that some people make it out to be, or...well, there doesn’t seem to be another option. Kind of like calling Paul a fraud because someone stole $1000 and added it to the rest of the $4,200,000+ that was contributed it to his campaign on a single day.

If someone is doing those things--and I don’t seriously doubt that someone, somewhere has--then they deserve a good kick in the ass, or two or three. You really have to be desparate for an excuse to reject Paul, though, to think that he has anything to do with it. He appears to be an almost unheard of rarity in D.C.: an honest man. The sad thing is that you’re not even close to why most of us at this site reject Paul. You’re going on as if this little episode is a reason. Hint: it’s not. But you’re not listening.

The Lili-Paulians make the “honesty” and “integrity” of their cult leader a central issue for two reasons.

First of all, it distinguishes him in their minds from all the other candidates in both parties, disparaging them by inference, while glorifying Dr. Paul.

Just as importantly, it gives them something to trumpet and bray about.  Paul has spent over 20 years in Congress developing his reputation as a waspish kook, but precious little else.  He has no substantive accomplishment to point to, no signature legislation, and no record of having successfully championed any worthy cause or overseen any sort of meaningful or successful enterprise.

In essence, Ron Paul is the champion of the Pat Buchanan wing of the GOP… the far, far right’s answer to Dennis Kucinich.

There is plenty of reason to reject Paul’s candidacy, strictly on the issues and the surreal nature of his policy proposals.  Whether he had anything to do with this particular incident or not is largely irrelevant, although a person, any person, who would be a leader of any sort, including President of the United States, had better understand that he/she is ultimately held accountable for the actions of those beneath him.  If Ron Paul and his supporters don’t comprehend this simple fact, then it is simply one more reason to dismiss his candidacy.

jay c, first, Mozilla Firefox will fix that problem. Second, several of we regulars here have been following the career of Ron Paul since the ‘70s and ‘80s. We are quite aware of what and who he is, and we continue to ask a very simple question, nay, to make a very simple request. Provide us with a list of Herr Doktor’s accomplishments in the fight against the issues he speaks of. Not a list of what he HAS NOT done, what HAS he done. Show us the iron-spined leadership that has brought him success against the ongoing encroachment of socialism that threatens to destroy America.

So far not one Paulette has even attempted to do this. Long listings of things he has voted against and opposed. Nothing he has done of a positive, effective nature.

I oppose Paul because he is not a leader, and has done nothing to change or stop any of the issues he prattles on about. And yes, his run is fully intended to put Hillary in the White House, in my opinion.

The few posts I made may be enough.  You know as well as I do there is no such thing as banning on the net.  I could come from anywhere as I have done thus far.  I have access to many servers that can be used for investigations.

Out of respect for you I will stop asking for his information but it will come out sooner or later.

I may have to go to Nevada and get the information from the hosting company you use; I hope it does not come to that.  There is a legit concern that this person is a government employee and that needs to be looked into.  If in fact you know for sure he is not, as well as goon, you should say so now.
