Americans can be a strange bunch at times.  I’m as guilty as the guy next door in that my attention span is limited.  We are bombarded by information and easily attracted to the latest fad.  Some fads are quite nice and others make us want to hide under a rock a few months later.  I still know people from Jr. High School who wore parachute pants, grew rat tails, and practiced break dancing.  A number of my fellow Americans fell for a fad last year and I think a lot of them are ready to go find that rock I mentioned and climb under it.  They were caught up in the Barack Obama fad and now I think they’re embarrassed by it. 

  President (man that hurts to type) Obama was a media created fad that rose fast and now is crashing back to Earth like nothing I’ve seen before.  Even this country was united after 911 longer than the Obama post election honeymoon has lasted.  Now could Obama rebound?  I’m sure he could as the country can be fickle, but for some reason I think this is going to be lasting.  I think the predictions that Mr. Obama would be Jimmy Carter part 2 is coming true and I’ll go further in saying that he may end up being far worse than the bumpkin from Georgia ever was.  Let’s take a look at the rise and fall of Barack Obama and why we all need to be on guard because of it.

  The rise of Barack Obama is a twisted and ugly road that many people are already familiar with.  From his friendship with a terrorist to his racist Pastor to his brief career as a back bencher in the Illinois and United States Senate it has been a past that makes people uncomfortable when they hear about it.  Obama spoke before the liberal convention in 2004 and became a media darling.  He was a gentleman with a fresh face and the gift of gab (although that has since been exposed as artificially created as well).  Half white, half black, young, and from a populous and driven (corrupt) liberal state, the left found a man to either secure the nomination in 2008 or become Hillary Clinton’s running mate.  The treasured minority vote would be secure for generations to come. 

  The media went crazy and instantly began a love affair with Obama that went well beyond just bordering on ridiculous.  Soon to be canceled talk show host Chris Mathews acted like a schoolboy with a crush on his teacher and his fellow future unemployed colleagues on MSNBC and CNN treated Obama like he was literally the second coming.  It was sickening and extremely disturbing.  Hollywood quickly broke from Hillary Clinton and rallied around their new star.  They have to be associated with the most popular fad after all.  After Obama took a cheap shot at Bill Clinton (Bill Clinton may be many things and I do not trust him, but he is no racist) and played dumb about his relationship with the terrorist and the anti-Semite, Obama surged to the nomination.  He was going to stop the oceans from rising, heal the sick, and change America’s reputation in the world.  He was going to negotiate with all nations and they would happily do the bidding of the world’s greatest man.  I can even remember hearing that Obama was pro life, pro nuclear power, and favored low taxes.  I knew he was full of it, but unfortunately many Americans did not.  A star was born and a campaign tour that was essentially a Hollywood production translated into an election night victory over Senator John McCain.  Not one American could name a single thing Obama had ever done to prove he was ready to be President (not even one piece of significant legislation he had wrote or pushed), yet he became the most powerful person in the world.

  Bill Clinton went to the White House largely due to the media.  They broke him down and then they built him back up again.  911 was all the craze after the attacks and then it was broke down.  Everyone had a flag and then suddenly only half of us did.  George W. Bush and his father for that matter were once two of the most popular Americans ever and then were broken by the media.  Sometimes you come back (like Clinton) and other times you don’t.  I tend to think that Obama will not come back.  The media only likes you when you are interesting and they can sell their stories, but when the popularity comes to an end, so to will the popularity of the subject. 

  Now unlike the Bush family, Obama had everything going for him.  The media doesn’t want to have to admit that the man they helped put in the White House is not anywhere close to being Presidential material after all (just like they didn’t want to admit that Bush beat crazy man Gore in Florida).  Right out of the gate Obama started pushing an extremely far left agenda.  I don’t mean a “sorta, kinda” Democrat agenda; I mean a far left loony agenda.  All talk about Republican deficits (which is fair) went out the window.  Obama dug us a hole so deep that most of us will be dead before it is paid off.  He is trying to tax us into oblivion with the global warming tax (cap and trade) and with the horrible government ran health care plan.  He is planning on taking away the secret ballot from the unions and planning a so called fairness doctrine to silence opposing viewpoints.  He is also working towards hate crime legislation that will be used to silence churches and conservative groups.  He has overreached and proven every single one of us who said he was a radical Marxist as being right.  He is a rank amateur in the White House.  The things he says when he is without his teleprompter border on recklessness.  He has turned his back on Israel and made it policy to apologize to every radical dictator in the world.  He has put us further and further in debt to Red China.  He is proving to be a total disaster in the White House.

  Now because Obama and his allies in Congress have “overreached”, he has awoken a long slumbering giant.  He has rallied conservatives, moderates, libertarians, and even economic conservative Democrats in a way I don’t think his inflated ego ever allowed him to consider.  Despite the whining from the left, it’s not because of his color but because he is breaking us economically.  TEA parties, town halls rallies, and the growth of grass roots organizations are directly due to Obama’s policies.  Long secure Senate and House members like Earl Pomeroy, Harry Reid, and Chris Dodd are suddenly in real danger of losing their seats.  Their allies Nancy Pelosi and Barney Frank are likely safe because of the districts they live in, but everyone else is on the table.  The media has suddenly taken notice.  Hollywood has gone silent.  Begrudgingly the media is reporting Obama’s sinking ratings and I would predict the point will come when they will finally report that he is in deep trouble.  They’re trying everything to protect him from saying the right is racist or Nazi’s (it wasn’t the right who turned their back on Israel Mr. Obama) to insinuating we’re all “dumb.”  All it is doing is making the opposition stronger.  The media is slowly turning on Obama.  Facts are facts.  The list of citizens disgusted with Obama’s behavior is growing. 

  So we know that Obama rose due to the media and we also know that his eventual bottoming out will be because the media will finally have to report what they can no longer ignore.  They will have to acknowledge that many Americans do not approve of the way this President is behaving.  Cap and Trade and Government health care (this alone will eat 1/6 of the American economy) may actually be defeated as more and more of Obama’s allies in Congress break from him in an effort to save their jobs.  As the Bush tax cuts expire and the weight of the Obama economy begins to sink in he may reach popularity lows that equal Princess Pelosi’s.  If Social Security or Medicare goes belly up his reputation may be beyond repair.  My, how the worm as turned. 

  So why should we be scared?  I mean Obama is sinking on his own and despite trying; he can no longer blame everything on George W. Bush or race.  Well he not only will blame everything on Bush and race, he will try to do something to save his job and reputation and that is what scares me.  Bill Clinton bombed Iraq during the Monica crisis, but what will Obama do during his own crisis?  That’s what scares me.  Will he force the passage of hate crime bills to muzzle us?  Will he start a war to divert attention and get the largely patriotic American public to rally around him?  Will he try to make an example of someone and destroy their reputation to silence them?  This is what worries me.  He is inexperienced and surrounded by reckless thugs (no offense Mr. Biden, you’re just a big mouthed buffoon).  We need to be on watch because if his past history is any indication, Mr. Obama will do anything to get his way. 

  My guess is we are close to having a significant exodus of Democrat Congressmen breaking from Obama.  We are close to seeing the end of the Clinton/Obama alliance.  We are close to seeing the rise of a GOP leader.  We are close to seeing a number of Congressmen voted out of office.  Stay strong and march on.  We are very close.  The media and Hollywood received their great gift and because of that gift their vision of a socialist American might not happen.  Obama has done this to himself.

Don’t believe me?  Ask a Democrat you know if they voted for him and I’ll bet you get silence or a “well I wanted to vote for Hillary but…”.  They’re finally getting it.  Let’s hope we can make it four years without this guy breaking our country in half.
