Reagan To Receive Posthumous Medal From Poland

WARSAW (AFP) — Poland plans to bestow its top award on the late US president Ronald Reagan, in a posthumous homage for his role in the collapse of the communist bloc, Polish authorities announced Wednesday.

The wife of the former US leader, Nancy Reagan, is to receive the Order of the White Eagle from Polish President Lech Kaczynski when the latter visits the United States next week…

The Order of the White Eagle (Polish: Order Orła Białego) is Poland’s highest decoration awarded to both civilians and the military for their merits. It was officially instituted on November 1, 1705 by Augustus II the Strong

During his three-day U.S. visit, Kaczynski is also scheduled to honor the late President Reagan with one of Poland’s highest distinctions, presenting his widow Nancy with the Order of the White Eagle in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

Should it have gotten more coverage? Yes. The fact that Fox News also downplayed the story is just further proof that it is not the Right Wing outlet you leftist nutters think it is!
