PETA Cooks Gore’s Goose!

Looks like Gore has another way to show his hypocrisy! Can you imagine the Incredible Bulk making a sacrifice and passing up a juicy pork chop, porterhouse steak or prime rib?

The Most ‘Inconvenient Truth’: According to U.N., Animals Raised for Food Generate More Greenhouse Gases Than All Cars and Trucks Combined

Norfolk, Va. — This morning, PETA sent a letter to former vice president Al Gore explaining to him that the best way to fight global warming is to go vegetarian and offering to cook him faux “fried chicken” as an introduction to meat-free meals. In its letter, PETA points out that Gore’s film, An Inconvenient Truth—which starkly outlines the potentially catastrophic effects of global warming and just won the Academy Award for “Best Documentary”—has failed to address the fact that the meat industry is the largest contributor to greenhouse-gas emissions.

YOU CAN’T BE A MEAT-EATING ENVIRONMENTALIST

Comments

So we quit eating meat and slaughter all of the domestic animals?

What’s going to happen to US industry when the global warming extremists like John McCain double the price of electricity?  I would think all these factories will close and set up in countries where they aren’t scared of technology.

Except for the ones that produce those darling little leather shoes…

Mine aren’t little either. You know how hard it is to find size 14 shoes?

I have very good luck finding size 13, of course this IS North Dakota.

Good for PETA. It’s not as though becoming a vegetarian would take time away from Gore’s political activism. I hope they starting hitting this point home harder as the probles of global warming become mroe difficult to ignore.

PETA = kooks. Who cares what they think. Both my parents and 1 of my step parents are all veterinarians. They all think PETA is a bunch of kooks - and they know a thing or two about animals. I went to a bull riding event last year and I was just about killed on my way in by frothing, stinky hippies. “Its so mean”. So sad that such a large group has failed to progress past the mindset of 13 year old girls. “Its so mean”.

Classic cheeseburger deprivation! First thing to go is your spelling skills!

Actually, Dave, I think it’s just the advocates of global warming become more difficult to ignore. (Like Hari Krishnas at the airports used to be!)

I will continue to due my part in reducing methane in accordance with Ron White’s method: by eating those environmentally unfriendly cows.  It makes me feel better to know that every time I eat steak I’m helping reduce the number of these global-warming creating animals.

electnixon on March 7, 2007 at 08:06 am

doh!  “I will continue to do my part” Sorry, I’m not really that dumb.  what a maroon.

Mean to who?  You’d think the hippies would get off on the animals fighting back and winning.

i think they give the poor, innocent 1500 lb steers a little shock on top of their layers of fat and muscle to get them jumping as the gate swings open. apparently thats, “so mean”.
PETA are the types who would kill a scientist to prevent him from testing lip gloss on a rabbit. they are just fundamentally deranged.

I know; you’d have to be deranged to believe that inflicting pain is a bad thing.

Did I say “deranged”? I meant to say “older than 6.”

Dave on March 7, 2007 at 09:33 am

Dave
You feel we shouldn’t use animals to do medical research on, say, AIDS or cancer or other horrible diseases? No matter the potential for life saved. Let’s say it costs us 1500 monkeys who experience pain to cure AIDS… is that ok? What if we are inflicting pain on monkeys to save other monkeys? Then is it ok?
What about when a Tiger or a Lion eats an African safari tourist? That’s pain! “Its so mean.”
Also, a purist vegan or PETA person CANNOT avoid hypocricy. Animal products abound. Next you’re going to tell me not to eat eggs because it causes the chicken pain.
Talk about being 6 years old. South Park gives PETA their due. Horse-fucker kooks.

And the steer gets to get even by kicking the crap out of the guy on top of him.

I for one would rather take the shock than be on top.

whistler.
that’s right. i don’t even think the situation has a burden to be even.
PETA is just upset about cowboys. it makes their effeminate little sickly pale, veggie eating corpses insecure. plus, cowboys get laid more than rubber and canvas shoe wearing beanpole freaks. jealousy.

actually i digress. judging from the punishment the cowboys’ nether regions were taking during that bullriding show, i bet they don’t get laid that much. in fact, i wouldn’t be surprised if they were all eunics.

I don’t have any problem with animal experimentation, if the likely result will be an overall decreae in pain.

See how stupid you look when you assume all stereotypes are true?

Next you’re going to tell me not to eat eggs because it causes the chicken pain.

then stop jocking PETA.
i get free-range eggs down from my neighbor.

See how stupid you look when you assume all stereotypes are true?

And organic, free range beef, pork, lamb… i don’t eat that much birds. i like quail and duck, but not chicken.

by the way Dave, utilitarian moral stances are just about the dumbest ones going. i can destroy utilitarians like nobody’s business in open arguments. even the guy who thought up that ‘least pain is best’ bullshit totally dissed it a few years later.

Then drown some kittens.

Point in case. That responce could only issue from the trap of a utilitarian moralist. BTW the kittens might not feel that much pain if I drown them. There might be less pain involved in drowning a pillowcase full of kittens than stubbing my toe. Does that mean its morally superior to drown the kittens as opposed to stubbing my toe? Tart.

And Darwin recanted evolution on his deathbed!

And Sartre recanted on his excessive freedom. BFD.
